Overlooking the magnificent Flathead Valley, this day-use-only park provides residents and visitors with information about the Valley's cultural and natural history with a visitor center providing nature and interpretive programs. Plan a couple hours to picnic and hike, along a self-guided nature trail and several informal hiking trails as well as horse trails. There are three scenic overlooks that provide views from Flathead Lake to Big Mountain Ski Area.

Lone Pine State Park is a great destination for school field trips. With the assistance of a professional interpreter, students can learn about ecology, the water cycle, forest habitat, outdoor survival and more.
